Produced from well ripen grapes from carefully selected Merlot vineyards in the Struma Valley, South West Bulgaria. After fermentation the wine has been aged for 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels and further 3 months in bottle before release. It has a dark ruby colour and aromas of black cherries and spiced blue plums dusted in black peppercorns. It is medium to full bodied on the palate and has a long lingering taste with notes of vanilla and bitter chocolate. Serve alongside game, hard cheeses and red meat dishes at 18-20° C.
